Gospel singer Mike Kesse has charged people addicted to drugs and alcohol to beseech God if they intend to heal from their addiction.
According to him, drug addiction and substance abuse can be traced to spiritual forces; thus, the God-factor is needed to heal those in such situations.
Recounting how God healed him from alcohol abuse and other unworthy lifestyles, Kesse said it took the intervention of God for him to become a better version of himself.
“There is a spiritual side to it. It is like a family inheritance. It is deeper than we sometimes think. You can go back to your family history and notice that something that your father used to do, you’re also doing the same; something that your mother is doing, you do too. If it is not alcohol, maybe womanizing. You are doing it. It is a generational bomb,” he noted.
Kesse mentioned that drug and alcohol abuse had a negative toll on victims, stressing that it would “really affect you emotionally and financially.”
Touching on his transformational journey, Kesse disclosed that there was a calling in his life even when he was singing secular songs, but he hardened his heart.
Until all went wrong for him to cleave to God for all the prophecies said about him during his childhood days actualized.
