Rap goddess, Eno Barony has made it clear that she is not rapping to compete with her male counterparts in the industry but to reflect on her real self through her rap music.
She said her passion to encourage the next generation and share her life experiences is what drives her to create rap music.
Speaking in a media interview, the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) 2020 Best Female Rapper stated that she only challenged herself in the industry to go beyond past glory and successes as a female artiste.
“I don’t think I have to prove anything to men. My objective is self-improvement and personal growth. I push myself all the time to become a better artist and to go beyond my past successes,” she said.
Eno was optimistic that her significant contributions in the creative industry would have a tremendous impact on her influence on the global music scene in a few years.
“My life is reflected in my songs. I put my whole being into each song, making it possible for listeners to identify with my challenges and journey,” she said.
Known in private life as Ruth Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom, her music career did not come on a silver platter, as she had to fight against all odds, including her father, who is a reverend minister, to chalk her name in the industry.
She made her grand appearance in the music scene in 2014 with the release of her single, “Wats Ma Name,” and has since been releasing hit tracks, making her a force to be reckoned with as far as rap music is concerned.
