TBR Football understands that Napoli want to finalise the sale of Victor Osimhen this summer and are open to exchanging players for the striker.
Three major Premier League clubs are keen on Osimhen who saw a move to Chelsea fail to materialize last summer and he instead joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on deadline day.
The Nigerian international has impressed hugely during his loan spell in Istanbul with 17 goals in 20 starts – underpinning his status as one of Europe’s top strikers.
Osimhen signed a new contract with Napoli in December 2023 with a release clause of around £100 million but that will be around £65 million come this summer.
However, Napoli are also open to exchange deals for Victor Osimhen, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.
Galatasaray don’t have the option to sign Osimhen but the Turkish Super Lig club are keen to keep him – which remains a possibility – but a move to England is the most likely option, at this stage.
Given that Osimhen’s price tag has dropped, whilst his form has not, TBR Football has been informed that there remains strong interest in the 26-year-old.
Chelsea are long-term admirers of Osimhen, witnessed by their attempts to sign him last summer, and he remains a player of major interest as they seek to add at least one new striker to their squad this summer.
