Dana told Adam and Lucy that she was planning to have her marriage with David annulled. Adam was worried about Michael so he asked Dana to settle things amicably with David so that the boy would not get hurt. Dana took Michael to school and David was waiting to see Michael. Michael only had time to greet David before Dana asked him to go inside. David asked Dana if they could share Michael’s custody but Dana refused. She claimed that she would accuse David of cheating with her sister to stop him from getting custody. She also admitted that she was punishing him for cheating on her.
Adam returned to work but took some time off to see Jia. Lucy was worried that he constantly visited Kai’s house and Harry would tell him everything about Jia’s son. Her friend, Carol told her that they did not have to worry because Harry had nothing to prove what happened. Lucy however pointed out that they could do a DNA test.
Harry tried to talk to Carol, Lucy’s friend, since she knew everything about Jia’s son. Carol had already agreed with Lucy that she would not say anything. She pretended not to know that Jia had a baby and left. Harry then tried to speak to the nurse from the hospital but she refused to help because they could be charged with kidnapping or child trafficking.
Adam went to Kai’s house and had a talk with Harry before he left. Harry decided to tell him everything, that Lucy paid him 5 million in exchange for Jia’s son. He also suspected that the boy was Michael. Adam confronted Lucy at home but she heavily denied everything. She asked Adam to trust her instead of Harry. Adam however decided to let Jia and Michael undergo a DNA test in order to clear up everything. He told Lucy that she had nothing to worry about if Harry was lying.
Kai asked Harry what was troubling him and he finally told her that he suspected Michael was Jia’s son. Kai was confused because the child died in a fire. Harry explained that he saved the baby and gave him to Lucy in exchange for money since they needed it for Jia’s treatment. Kai was furious at him and kicked him out of the house. Jia woke up from her sleep after having a nightmare and found them talking. Harry wanted to tell her the truth but Kai stopped him.
The next morning, Harry said that he would not leave until he sorted things out. Jia decided to go back to work since she was feeling better and Harry drove her. Jia did not know what was going on but told Harry that she would forgive him.
During breakfast, Adam asked Dana what she would do if Michael’s mother came for him. Dana said she would not let them have Michael because she adopted him legally.
Adam called Kai and Lucy to his office so that they could discuss the best way to sort out Michael’s issue. Kai was worried because she was sure Dana would not let Michael go if he turned out to be Jia’s son.
