Ghanaian hiplife group Dunsin has revealed that former First Lady Lordina Mahama served as the inspiration behind their hit song F3f33f3 (Fefeefe) released in 2016.
According to Ernest Wiafe-Koranteng, popularly known as Sweet Lips of the Dunsin group, the idea for the song came after the group watched a televised national event featuring the then First Lady, Lordina Mahama.
Speaking on Max FM’s Morning Dew, Wiafe explained that the group drew inspiration from Lordina Mahama’s beauty and appearance, which influenced the lyrical direction of the song.
The music group reportedly disclosed in 2016 that although the song did not directly mention her name, the inspiration behind F3f33f3 came from admiration for the First Lady’s physical features and elegance. The revelation sparked conversations in the entertainment space at the time.
Dunsin, known for songs such as Oyadieyie, used F3f33f3 to mark their comeback to the music scene after years of silence, with the track gaining attention for its catchy rhythm and unique backstory.
Wiafe noted that the song remains one of the memorable records from the group’s catalogue, emphasizing that inspiration in music can emerge from everyday experiences and public personalities.
