The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah, has expressed the need for musicians and key stakeholders to join hands in preserving the artistic heritage of the country.
According to him, the move will protect the rights of musicians and other artists to fully own their crafts.
Addressing stakeholders at “Live the Music,” an event held recently in Accra, the music producer said the country had to put necessary measures in place to protect and preserve its cherished heritage.
“We need to take control of our narratives and ensure that our artistic heritage is preserved and celebrated,” he said.
For artists to fully control their music rights, Richie underscored the need for professionals to invest in their expertise by providing guidance to artists on how to maintain and control their music rights.
He also expressed the need for artists to gain legal advice on ownership of their intellectual property in order to make money from their sweats.
