President of the Ghana Table Tennis Association,Mawuko Afadzinu, has made history by being elected as the Executive Vice President for Marketing of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF).
This landmark election took place during the ATTF’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the African Union (AU) headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The AGM gathered stakeholders from across the continent to discuss critical issues, strategic plans, and the future trajectory of table tennis in Africa. In a competitive election, Afadzinu emerged victorious, securing 22 votes compared to Uganda’s Robert Jjagwe, who received 17 votes. The election was attended by 39 delegates representing various African nations, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the event.
Afadzinu’s election is a testament to his dedication and expertise in promoting table tennis development. As the Executive Vice President for Marketing, he will be instrumental in elevating the profile of the sport across Africa. His extensive experience and knowledge will be key in enhancing visibility, attracting sponsorships, and driving growth in participation and events.
In his new role, Afadzinu is expected to implement innovative marketing strategies, strengthen partnerships with stakeholders, and foster greater involvement in table tennis competitions throughout the continent.
