Hearts of Oak are set to return to their usual home grounds, the Accra Sports Stadium, in their next Ghana Premier League (GPL) fixture.
The Phobians would take on visitors, Medeama SC, on Sunday, April 6, and are in desperate need of a win to get back in the title challenge.
Hearts were forced to take on Nations FC at the Tuba Astro Turf, where they lost to the Abrankese-based team thanks to a superb winner by Black Stars defender, Razack Simpson.
Why did Hearts play away from their traditional home venue, the Accra Sports Stadium? Following the decision of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) selection of the University of Ghana Stadium as host for the 2025 CAF Schools competition, the Phobians had to relocate from their temporary home.
The administration of the GFA failed to do due diligence, informing the management of the National Sports Authority (NSA), including the Director General, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, on time ahead of the match against Nations FC.
Now, following fruitful engagements between Hearts of Oak and the NSA, fans would witness the match against Medeama.
