Hasaacas held at home; Mary Berko inspires Police Ladies’ win

Date:

Police Ladies have cut Hasaacas Ladies’ lead at the top of the Southern Zone League table to two points after recording a 2-0 win over Faith Ladies.

Hasaacas Ladies were pegged at home by Halifax Queens in a pulsating 2-2 draw. Seidatu Wahab scored the first of her brace after cancelling Anita Kwateng’s opener for the Dooo girls.

Wahab netted her second late in the game to hold the home side, who were on their way to a 2-1 win when Sylvia Osei regained the lead for Hasaacas.

In Accra, Mary Berko ensured Police Ladies edged closer to Hasaacas with a brace against the Dansoman-based Faith Ladies.

Jonina Ladies etched a 3-0 victory over the defending Women’s FA Cup champions Army Ladies in their record-breaking 2024-25 Malta Guinness Premier League season.

The Northern Zone witnessed an avalanche of goals as Northern Ladies walloped Supreme Ladies 7-0, with seven different scorers getting their names on the scoring sheet.

Kumasi Sports Academy refused to be held captive by producing a superb 2-1 comeback win over Prison Ladies.

Shani Zeinab scored the only goal of the game as FC Savannah defeated Fosu Royal Ladies to move fourth on the Northern Zone League table.
