Jordan Ayew, captain of the Black Stars of Ghana, has sent a heartwarming message of support to the Black Queens of Ghana.
On their return to Africa’s biggest football stage for women, the Women’s African Cup of Nations, the Black Queens have reached the last four of the competition.
The Queens have throughout the tournament shown resilience after a tough start, losing to defending champions South Africa, drawing with Mali, defeating Tanzania for knockout stages, and then reaching the semifinals.
Ahead of their crucial game against host country Morocco on Tuesday night, Jordan Ayew stated:
“We are rooting for you, and we believe in your ability to make history. Go out there, give it your all, and make Ghana proud. Let’s do this, Queens.”
The Queens will take on Morocco for a place in the final against either Nigeria or South Africa.
