The Army Ladies Football Club have beaten rivals, Police Ladies, 1-0 to win the 2023–24 Ghana Women’s FA Cup title at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Deborah Opoku scored the game’s winner for Army Ladies in the 50th minute of the second half after she tapped home the ball when Police’s goalkeeper, Barikisu, failed to steer away an Adama Alhassan freekick.

The Police Ladies were favorites going into the game to claim the title, but their failure to make good use of their chances meant they would end the season trophyless once again.

The Army Ladies have made it a hat-trick of wins over their opponents after beating them both home and away in the 2023-24 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
