Fashion icon who doubles as an actress, Nana Akua Addo has revealed that her journey to fame started on the red carpet of the Ghana Music Awards.
According to her, Charterhouse gave her the first platform to fame and is forever indebted to the organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
In a recent media interview, the actress dismissed claims that she had not been honoring Charterhouse’s invitation to the biggest night event in Ghana, TGMA.
“I would like to use this medium to correct whatever is being said out there. Charterhouse gave me the first platform to fame and they groom me to be the woman I am. I can never take that for granted. So, there’s no day that Charterhouse will invite me and I will feel I am bigger, never!” she stated.
Nana Akua Addo further indicated that she had a cordial relationship with Charterhouse and would never pull back from any event organized by them.
“Coming to a Charterhouse event will be like coming back home. You know like a prodigal daughter coming back home. For me, that’s how it feels, the relationship I have with Charterhouse is personal,” she explained.
Nana Akua Addo also proposed to event organizers to pay appearance fees for selected individuals chosen for red carpets.
“I feel like our space, that is coming on to the red carpet, it has come of age where event organizers need to think about selecting certain people that they want them to come on the red carpet and also paying attention to the appearance fee. Because whatever we do, we pay for all these vendors,” she added.
