GHALCA Strongly Condemns Violence at Nana Kromansah Park

Date:

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has strongly condemned the tragic incident that occurred at Nana Kromansah Park during the Ghana Premier League matchday 19 fixture between Nsoatreman and Asante Kotoko.

The violent clashes resulted in the loss of a life, a deeply unfortunate event that has cast a shadow over Ghanaian football.

In a statement signed by GHALCA Chairman John Kofi Ansah, the association expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, offering prayers for strength and comfort during this difficult time.

GHALCA has called on authorities to take decisive action to ensure that those responsible for this heinous act are swiftly brought to justice. “We urge law enforcement agencies and relevant football authorities to issue a peremptory order on this case to ensure the perpetrators face the full force of the law,” the statement emphasized.

Describing the incident as a football emergency, GHALCA stressed the need for urgent engagement with clubs and their supporters to prevent future occurrences of violence at match venues. The association reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a safe and secure football environment, urging all stakeholders to work together to uphold the integrity of the game.
