Chelsea FC has extended the contract of Senegalese striker Nicholas Jackson to 2033.
This news may have come as a shock to the club’s fans, who have not been impressed with the striker after he signed from Villarreal in the summer of 2023.
Enzo Maresca expressed his joy at Jackson’s extended stay at the club.
“I’m very happy. Nicolas is doing a fantastic job with us, on and off the ball. He scored already two goals [this season]. He scored again today. He had another two chances but we are happy with him.”
Chelsea have won one, drawn one, and lost the other of their first three league matches.
