Disregard Basintale fake certificate reports— UG

Date:

Ghana’s premier university, the University of Ghana, has released an official communique, rubbishing a letter allegedly discrediting the certificate degree earned by Youth Employment Agency (YEA) boss Malik Basintale.

A letter circulating on social media on June 2, 2025, purported to be a reply to a request for the verification of the degree held by Mr Basintale dated May 27, 2025, alleged the degree being fake.

This resulted in a major conversation on social media, with many demanding the YEA boss exert the full force of the law on those circulating falsehoods to tarnish his image.

In the official disclaimer, signed by Dr Elizier Taiba-Ameyaw Buronyah of the University’s Public Affairs Directorate, the circulated letter is a forgery, and must be disregarded.
