December 7 Elections: All football leagues in Ghana to go on break

Date:

With 2024 general elections fast approaching, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Wednesday, November 27, announced the break of all football leagues in the country.

This is to enable all stakeholders involved in the 2024-25 league season to undertake their civic duties during the elections on December 7, 2024.

The round of 64 of the 2024-25 MTN FA Cup will kick off this coming weekend, as matches of matchday 6 of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League will be honored.

As the leagues are scheduled to resume on Friday, December 13, 2024, the GFA has urged all in the football fraternity as well as every Ghanaian, to perform their civic duties.
