Ghanaian musical legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, is finally laid to rest amidst many controversies and battles among his family.
The icon whose funeral was slapped with many legal suits was laid to rest at the Heroes Park, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
The funeral, which attracted many renowned personalities like politicians, actors and musicians, saw the absence of his first wife, Akosua Serwah Fosuh, and his maternal family, raising eyebrows at the funeral.
What sparked the controversy was how his corpse was covered with a veil whilst there was already a conspiracy theory that his corpse was already buried and a wax replica or an animal would be presented at the funeral grounds.
His sister, Akosua Brimpomaa, who claimed she had never set eyes on the body of her brother and also denied access to his corpse to conduct an autopsy, earlier sought an injunction to stop the funeral, which blew an alarm of foul play.
However, she lost the case after failing to pay damages of 2 million to the family head within an ultimatum.
Her concerns raised further fuelled the rumours that Daddy Lumba was secretly buried.
Reacting to the rumours, the Ekuono family head, Kwadwo Owusu, known as Abusuapanyin Tupac, dismissed the allegations and claimed it was part of Daddy Lumba’s will for his face to be covered.
