Highlife singer Kofi Nti, a known protégé of the late Daddy Lumba, has expressed concern about how the disunity among the family members of the musical icon deterred him from bidding his final goodbye.
According to him, he failed to attend the funeral of Daddy Lumba based on the feud.
Speaking in a recent media interview to explain his absence, Kofi Nti stated that he did not want to be caught in-between the chaos.
“Daddy Lumba was my mentor, and you’ll recall that I joined the one-week celebration, which was peaceful. However, I couldn’t attend the funeral because I didn’t want to get caught up in the chaos,” he said.
Kofi Nti further stated that his mother even warned him from attending the “chaotic” funeral.
”My mother even called to inform me that I should stay far away from the funeral, which is why I came to support KK Fosu bury his father,” he added.
Daddy Lumba was buried in the Ashanti Region at the Heroes Park of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on December 13, 2025, after a series of legal battles between members of his family.
