Covid-19 is real but not in Ghana, I haven’t seen any yet – Osofo Kyiri Abosom

Date:

The Flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom has said that covid-19 is real. However, he believes that there is no Covid-19 in Ghana.

Speaking to Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, host of Sports Drive on Max 89.7 FM, on Wednesday ,4th November, 2020, Osofo Kyiri Abosom said “In actual sense when you look at the situation in our country, me I know this very Covid-19 is not part of us. I don’t believe it is here. Covid-19 is not in Ghana. I have not seen it in Ghana.”

Osofo Kyiri Abosom further said “If you look at those people who have been killed by malaria, cholera and other killer diseases, you can’t compare Covid-19 to it.”

As flagbearer of GUM, Rev Andrews indicated that “We have been coughing long time ago before Covid-19 came. People have been coughing every day and nothing seems to happen. This people have been telling us that there is something called Covid-19. Me I know it belongs to them, they should take it but it’s not our part here, we Africans here especially in Ghana. We just decided to back this thing and go for a loan to bring debt on us.”

“We can even use that loan to build factories for our country and this very youth can be employed. Because all this covid-19 that we started testing for what did we gain out of it, “He added.
