Kenyan giants Gor Mahia’s star Enoch Morrison has been touted as Black Stars of Ghana material by coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor.

The former Asante Kotoko star has been attracting attention with some eye-catching performances in the Kenyan topflight division.

With former Ghana player and head coach at the helm of affairs at Gor Mahia and Morrison running the midfield, the Kenyan club remains on top of the league.

C.K. Akonnor is of a firm belief that Morrison has reached the elite level enough to be considered for a place in the Black Stars as the team prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“He’s not been in the picture for a long time, probably because of his performances, and now he’s doing very well, so maybe now they can start to look at him in that aspect,” he told Graphic Sports.

“Yes, he’s doing very well, so now is the time to start looking at him. In the past, he wasn’t in that category, so it’s no surprise he wasn’t invited.”
