The Prime Minister of Chad, Amb. AllahMaye Halina, has charged the “Sao” to put behind them challenges leading to their crucial game against the Black Stars of Ghana.
He paid a visit to the Radisson Blu Hotel, where the players are lodged in N’Djamena on Sunday, March 16, 2025, prior to their arrival in Accra.
“You are Chad’s ambassadors on the international stage. Get rid of any complexes, because the SAO are fearless warriors who go into battle only to win,” he said, sending them off to face two difficult opponents.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Maïdé Hamit Lony, despite the challenges of losing key players and racing against time to hire a new head coach, urged the players to be good representatives of their national flag.
“You are Chad’s flagbearers on the international stage. It is our duty to support you, and we will do so tirelessly,” he said.
A defeat for bottom-placed Chad against Ghana on Friday, March 21, would spell doom for them in their World Cup qualification bid.
