The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, has distanced Catholicism from Freemasonry.
Archbishop Kwofie made clear the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra’s position on Masonic activities following recent comments by George Opare Addo admitting to being a Mason while being a Presbyterian.

According to Archbishop Kwofie in an official statement, the beliefs of the Freemasonry conflict with Christianity.
He urged all Catholics to resist the appeal of joining the Freemasonry while encouraging them to hold strong to their faith in Christ.
