With days to the kick-off of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Bafana Bafana of South Africa has invited Ghana for a pre-tournament friendly.

Ghana failed to qualify for the event for the first time since 2004 after finishing bottom of their qualifying group.

South Africa, which is hoping for a good run at the competition, has announced a friendly with Ghana ahead of its start on December 21, 2025.

This would also serve as an opportunity for Kassim Mingle Ocansey and his technical team to assess the best players in Ghana’s domestic football.

Hugo Broos’ men will kick off their campaign against Angola on December 22, 2025, at the Stade de Marrakech.
