‎Ayra Starr surpasses Yemi Alade with 1 billion YouTube views

Nigerian fast growing songstress, Ayra Starr has surpassed Yemi Alade’s record of the most viewed female artiste of all time on YouTube.

‎She currently hit 1 billion views on YouTube to compete with the male heavy weights like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Rema, Ckay, Omah Lay, Kizz Daniel, Tekno, P-Square, Flavour, and Fireboy in the industry.

‎The 23-year-old singer overtook Alade’s record of 805 million views with 1 billion views, marking a significant milestone in her flourishing career.

‎She is now emerged as the first Nigerian female artist to surpass 1 billion total views on YouTube.

‎Her Grammy-nominated hit single “Rush” which was released in 2022 and gained her a platinum certification in the UK has amassed over 450 million views on YouTube.

‎The track stands as the most-viewed Afrobeats music video by a Nigerian female artist and one of the genre’s most globally recognized visuals.

‎This achievement places her in the elite company of Nigerian well acclaimed musicians who have crossed the billion-view mark on the platform.
