Assembling to worship God is a waste of time—Mzbel

Date:

Veteran highlife musician Mzbel has described the act of assembling in church to worship the Almighty God as a waste of time.

According to her, most pastors are just defrauding the poor congregation and expressed the need for every Christian to remain in the house.

Speaking in an interview with Max TV’s flagship entertainment program e-Quick on Monday in Accra, the “16 years” hitmaker said if it was left with her no one would attend church.

She was quick to add that it all depends on the benefit the individual gained from attending church.

Mzbel noted that there were others who gained inspiration by assembling and also some gained spiritual reactivation during worshipping.

“It all boils down to the benefit the individual gains from attending church. If you go and you think you gain inspiration, motivation, joy or any form of benefits then it is okay but from where I stand and where my knowledge has reached, going to church is a total waste of time,” she explained.

Mzbel made an outcry that many pastors knew the hidden keys that could unlock the financial burden of the poor congregation but they have kept it a secret, fearing that once they revealed their church would collapse.
