The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) Executive Committee (“EXCO”) met today, Monday, 16 December 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco in a gathering chaired by CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe.
Dr Motsepe opened the meeting by congratulating Morocco following the decision to award the centenary FIFA World Cup 2030 to a joint bid by Morocco, Portugal and Spain.
The Executive Committee deliberated on the CAF Competitions Calendar for 2025 and beyond.
Dr Motsepe announced the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Final Draw will be held in Rabat, Morocco, on 27 January, 2025.
With regards youth competitions, the CAF EXCO resolved that the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations will be hosted in Morocco in both 2025 and 2026.
The TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Cote d’Ivoire in 2025.

CAF President Dr Motsepe also held a meeting with the 54 CAF Member Associations on Monday afternoon and discussed matters relating to developing football in each country.
This includes building stronger partnerships between Member Associations, Governments, FIFA, other Confederations and the private sector.
