JUST IN: CAF Set to Investigate Samuel Eto’o

Date:

The Confederation of African Football  (CAF) is set to investigate legendary Cameroonian footballer, Samuel Eto’o, over alleged improper conduct as president of FECAFOOT.

The former Barcelona player has been under serious pressure from stakeholders of Cameroonian football following his management of the federation.

His conduct has raised questions, leading to a report by members of the federation, who sent a formal complaint to the continent’s governing body.

Eto’o could face potential removal from office if he is found guilty of breaching CAF’s regulations.

The former Cameroon striker became FECAFOOT president in 2021, as reported by CNN.

Eto’o faces pressure from FECAFOOT clubs

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Samuel Eto’o’s troubles persist as his position as the president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) is under threat, with numerous clubs in his home country demanding his resignation.

A significant contingent of eleven members from the Association of Amateur Football Clubs in Cameroon (ACFAC), led by President M. Balla Ongolo Henri Claude, have called for Eto’o, the former Barcelona forward, to step down from his role as FECAFOOT president.
