Former World Cup winner Zico has named who the best-ever African player is.

The Brazilian legend identified former Super Eagles of Nigeria star Jay Jay Okocha as Africa’s best-ever player.

The Brazilian legend said he admired Okocha’s style of football, which he described as ‘fantastic’.

He said that Okocha’s creativity and flair made him stand out among his peers.

Speaking on Mikel Obi’s podcast about the best African player he has ever seen, Zico said, “I like Okocha—a fantastic player. Number 10, Okocha. Eto’o, fantastic. George Weah, Drogba.”

Zico also said that his compatriot, Pelé, remains the greatest footballer of all time.

Okocha, now 52, played 73 times for Nigeria, scoring 14 goals.
