We’re focused on World Cup Qualification — Black Queens

Date:

What a major achievement qualifying for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil would be for women’s football in Ghana.

It has been over two decades since the Black Queens of Ghana reached the global stage of women’s football.

Ghana is now presented with a huge chance to make history once again on Sunday evening in Morocco.

The Black Queens of Ghana will take on the dark horses, Malawi, in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday night at 20:00GMT, live on Max TV.

A win for either side, would secure a place in the semifinals and a ticket to the next Women’s World Cup.

“We are ready. We are focused. We really want to book a ticket to the World Cup. Everybody is ready,” Ghana’s goalkeeper, Cynthia Findib Konlan has said.
