The president of Medeama Sporting Club, Moses Armah Parker, has thrown his weight behind the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s promise to improve sports in Ghana.
H.E. John Mahama, who assumed office on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, after having been sworn in the day before, in his election campaign manifesto made a number of promises to improve football and other sporting disciplines in Ghana.
Moses Armah Parker, a seasoned sports administrator and businessman, called for support for H.E. John Mahama’s policies and expressed extreme confidence in him on the Sports Pack show on Max FM.
“I know what the president can do, and I am confident that with him [Mahama] in power, football will develop. So we need to support him. Though we failed to qualify for the 2025 AFCON, we are still in the running for the 2026 World Cup,” he said.
He furthermore advised the failures of the past be let go and support the incoming sports minister’s quest to elevate the name of Ghana in the world of sports.
“Let’s put aside the failures and support the incoming sports minister to achieve better things for Ghanaian football,” he said in the interview.
