Sudanese international journalist Abdul Musa has revealed that the Football Association of Sudan has lodged a complaint to CAF and Libyan authorities over the actions of the Black Stars of Ghana.
The Black Stars trained at the Benina Martyrs Stadium on Monday ahead of the return leg of the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan on Tuesday, October 15, at 13:00 GMT.
Following the training session of the Ghana team, the Sudanese delegation claimed to have found sliced onions on the pitch of the match venue, alleging suspicious actions from the Ghanaians.
Though Musa made this alleged activity by the Black Stars public through a social media post, neither CAF nor the Ghana Football Association have responded to it.
A win for Sudan will spell doom for Ghana, as Angola are poised to book their place at next year’s AFCON in Morocco after recording three wins out of three games.
The Sudanese Football Association have notified the Libyan authorities and the delegation of CAF after noticing the presence of some objects on the floor of the Benina Martyrs Stadium following Ghana’s national team training.
