The Black Stars of Ghana are only focused on beating Sudan, according to head coach Otto Addo, in the return leg of the double header of the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday, October 15.
In the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium four days ago, Ghana struggled to convert guilt-edged chances against a very defensive Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan.
Otto Addo, speaking ahead of Tuesday’s clash in a pre-match presser, is looking forward to his team returning to winning ways with a victory against Sudan in Libya.
“Look, I’m not interested in any records or whatsoever. I want to win the next game, and then the world looks different, that’s all. All these statistics and this and that—it’s like that. What can I do? We can only look forward and look for the next match and try to score, that’s all. We will try as much as we did today, and then it will be rewarded. That’s all I can say,” Coach Otto Addo said.
The Black Stars will round off their preparations towards the crucial return leg in Benina, Libya, on Monday, with the game set to come off at 13:00 GMT on Tuesday.
