Charles Anokye Frimpong, head coach of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, is refusing to be carried away by emphatic victory over USFAS Bamako.
The Ghanaian women’s champions are in Cairo, Egypt, taking on Africa’s best for the continental crown.
Ampem Darkoa took on Malian champions USFAS Bamako on Monday night at the ongoing 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
Angelina Yeboah scored twice, while Patricia Agyei, Beline Nyarko, and Nancy Amoh fired the Ghanaians to victory in their opening game.
“I have told my players not to get carried away by the victory. The work is just beginning. We must focus on the Ugandans to ensure another win,” said coach Frimpong on Max FM’s Sports Pack.
The Bono-based ladies will take on Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim next on Thursday November 5, 2026, at 3PM.
