Self acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale has expressed the need for the government to support content creators as means to solve the teaming unemployment in the country.
He expressed worry about the misconstrued information they have about content creation in this advanced digital era.
In an X post on March 3, the award winning dancehall artiste stated that content creation was part of the Art and Entertainment industry, thus much attention should be given to it to foster growth.
”We need to understand that entertainment and content creation go hand in hand, and with the right support, these platforms can grow and contribute massively to the industry,” he explained.
Shatta Wale further observed that the limited knowledge the government and the creative players have about content creation was making it unappealing.
“I don’t think the creative arts industry in Ghana and even the Ghana government truly understands who content creators are,” he wrote.
The “On God” hitmaker maintained that content creation was a full-time career, a business, and a lifeline for many, rather than just some random job perceived to be.
