Herve Renard is rightly unconcerned by the invailability of some key players of Ghana during the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.

The head coach of the Elephants of Ivory Coast was speaking to the press after his team dominated Ghana in a 2-0 win on Thursday.

A number of key players, such as Antoine Semenyo and Mohammed Kudus, withdrew from the first two rounds of the AFCON qualifiers.

This, according to the serial AFCON-winning coach, is not an excuse and is not a problem.

“Why the players are not around is not my issue. This is your [Ghana] problem… The result was good for us.”

Regarding the frivolous nature of the penalty call by the Algerian referee, Mustapha Ghorbal, Renard says it is the problem of Ghana.

He disclosed he missed some key players from his team as well but still won the game.
