The management of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, better known as Ridge Hospital, has extended generous help to the allegedly assaulted nurse.
An amount of GHS800 and a mobile phone were presented to the nurse, who is on rotation, following the incident at the hospital on the night of Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Minister of Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, on Wednesday, August 20, confirmed the arrest of one suspect involved in the disturbances after he was identified by the hospital staff.
Meanwhile, social activist Ralph Saint Williams, whose arrest has been called for by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association, denied involvement in the alleged assault at the hospital.
Hon. Akandoh has asked for space for the Ghana Police Service to do their work diligently and effectively.
