The General Secretary for the Ghana Football Association, GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo Esq., has received a major appointment by FIFA.
Mr Addo, once a journalist, has been appointed Match Commissioner of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Benin in Uyo, Nigeria.
CAF has appointed an all-Egyptian quartet match officials led by Amin Mohamed Omar as center referee, Mahmoud Abouelregal as first assistant, Ali Ahmed Tawfik as second assistant, and Ahmed Moustafa Elbana Mahmoud Zakaria as the fourth official.
Benin are fighting for top spot in the group. Nigeria are playing for survival, especially after South Africa were docked three points for fielding an ineligible player.
Benin Republic top the standings with 14 points from eight games. Nigeria sit in third position with 11 points from same number of matches.
