An inferno destroyed property worth millions of Ghana Cedis at China City Mall near Santasi roundabout in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

The fire began around 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the recently opened mall.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) was called into action, as all individuals in the mall were evacuated.

No one has been reported dead or hurt, but many items and properties were burnt to ashes.

Richard Ofori Agyeman, Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), described the unfortunate incident as a sad spectacle.
