The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) have announced separate planned and emergency maintenance exercises scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in the Greater Accra Region and other regions.
The maintenance works, which are aimed at improving power supply reliability and operational efficiency, will result in temporary power outages in some areas.
In the Greater Accra Region, ECG will conduct maintenance works from 9am to 5pm. The exercise will impact the power supply to Botwe Aviation, Adenta, Sasabi Township, Mensah Bar, Bawaleshie, Oyibi, Malejor, Lands Commission, American Embassy, Cantonments, Darkuman, Obodan, Abetima, and nearby areas.
In the Tema Region, ECG will carry out maintenance between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., affecting Irrigation, Central University, Miotso, Emefs Estates, Celebrity Golf Club, Sakumono Village and Estates, and surrounding communities.
Osu Night Market and its surrounding areas will also be affected between 9am and 3pm.
