The Ghana Police Service has apprehended a man for impersonation and fraud.
The suspect, named Fredrick Papa Kow-Assifuah, under false pretences as a medical doctor, defrauded unsuspecting folks in Kasoa, Central Region.
Frederick, who impersonated a doctor at the United Brain Hospital at Mallam, Accra, assured his victims of securing travelling documents to Europe.
The Ghana Police Service further revealed that through his fake identity, he managed to develop intimate relationships with several women online.
Among items retrieved from his possession are medical supplies, including:
•Two (2) stethoscopes
•Three (3) intravenous (IV) drips
•Five (5) syringes
•Two (2) sample bottles
•One (1) roll of plaster
•Six (6) bottles of vaccines
An amount of GHC 8,500.00 and a Ghanaian passport were also found on him during his arrest.
