Patience Ozokwor blames women for the rise in divorce

Date:

Nollywood veteran, Patience Ozokwor has expressed concern about the rise in divorce in this current world.

The act, she said was as a result of women not listening to advice and the lack of requisite knowledge they have about marriage.

In a viral post on social media, Ozokwor stated that women no longer have patience in marriage and have allowed the internet to dictate the direction of their marriage.

“Have you ever asked why your mother stayed in marriage despite the man’s faults? They were patient. Sometimes, our mothers would even catch their husbands in bed with another woman, but they would drive the woman away and continue the marriage.

Even the neighbors wouldn’t hear about it. But nowadays, everything is being brought to the internet,” she stated.

Ozokwor noted that some of the marital problems could actually be fixed, if handled properly but many women have worsened the situation by addressing their issues online.

“Some of these problems, if discussed privately, could actually be fixed, but the internet often worsens the situation,” she noted.

In moving forward, Ozokwor underscored the need for women to be educated on marriage once again.
