Parliament has approved a GH¢65.9 million budget to enhance sports development nationwide.
The approval, granted on March 27, 2025, followed a motion by Roads and Highways Minister Kwame Governs Agbodza and was supported by MPs, including Okere Constituency’s Daniel Nana Addo-Kenneth, who stressed the need for facility maintenance.
Agbodza outlined plans for the funds, which will support a new sports policy, stadium rehabilitation, and the creation of a national sports fund.
This allocation aims to improve infrastructure and create opportunities for young athletes.
