Nsoatreman Mourns Nana Pooley, Vows to Support investigations

Nsoatreman FC has expressed deep sorrow following the tragic death of Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley, during a football match against Asante Kotoko on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Nana Amoah Kronmansah II Park in Twumasikrom.

In an official statement released on Monday, February 24, the club described the incident as “unfortunate and regrettable,” emphasizing the value of human life and condemning the circumstances that led to Pooley’s untimely death. The club extended heartfelt condolences to both the Kotoko Football Club and the bereaved family.

Management also confirmed their active cooperation with police investigations, offering full support to ensure that those responsible for the incident are identified and brought to justice. The club believes that the real culprits will be held accountable and justice will prevail.

Nsoatreman FC has called for patience and calm from fans and stakeholders as law enforcement continues its investigation. The club remains committed to supporting the authorities until the case reaches its logical conclusion.

“God help us all,” the statement concluded, reflecting the club’s grief and determination to seek justice for Nana Pooley.
