NSA announce elimination of bogus submissions

Date:

The Acting Director General of the National Service Authority, Felix Gyamfi, has announced a significant reduction in the submission of registrations compared to the last three years.

Over 100,000 prospective national service personnel will now have access to PIN codes to access their portals to know where they have been posted to.

“This process has effectively eliminated any form of inflated or bogus submissions. As a result, this year’s figures are on average 26% lower than the numbers received over the past three years, with a peak reduction of 36% compared to the 2022/2023 session,” Mr Gyamfi revealed in a statement read.

The reduction signifies the new NSA’s commitment to ensure transparency after the revelation of the scandalous creation of thousands of ghost names to syphon more than GH¢548 million cedis by two former bosses — Mustapha Ussif (2017–2021) and Osei Assibey Antwi (2021–2025).

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) rejected 3,597 from 22 institutions because they were unaccredited.
