MGWPL: Hasaacas remain top, Epiphany suffer defeat

Hasaacas Ladies maintained their place at the top of the Southern Zone table of the 2024-25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League at the end of matchday 13.

Mercy Attaborah and Comfort Owusu scored the only goals of the game to hand Hasaacas Ladies a deserving 2-0 victory over Faith Ladies on Saturday, March 1.

Army Ladies kept a close chase on the leaders of Southern Zone, edging Epiphany Warriors 1-0 at the Teshie MATS Park through Linda Achiaa’s second-half strike.

Jonina Ladies stumbled in their pursuit of the summit of the table, losing 1-2 to Police Ladies, while Ladystrikers recorded a 2-0 victory over Halifax Queens.

In the Northern Zone, leaders Ampem Darkoa Ladies suffered a shock 2-1 away defeat to FC Savannah, as Prison Ladies recorded an impressive 4-0 thrashing of Tamale Super Ladies.

Beatrice Osaah bagged a brace, with Getrude Amoafoh getting on the scoresheet, as Kumasi Sports Academy defeated Sung Shining Ladies 3-0.

Dreamz Ladies stunned Northern Ladies 0-1 away, cutting Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ lead to six points.
