Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has disclosed that married men who share responsibilities with their partners are failures.
According to him, a man should be able to pay his bills without seeking financial aid from his wife.
In a social media post, the actor stated that a secret to a happy home is when a man shoulder all the responsibilities including catering for his wife and kids without seeking equality.
“It’s my duty to pick up the bills of my family not my wife. Any man who cannot pay his bills and takes care of his family is a total failure,” he said.
Edochie stated that it was not even prudent or necessary for a man to know the amount of salary his wife is earning.
“I have never asked my wife how much she earns as a lawyer, how much she owns or what she does with her money, ask my children,” he stated.
Edochie said this against the backdrop of men seeking equality in marriages and wanted their wives to share financial responsibilities with them.
