#MaxEntertainment: Jackie Appiah explains why she has maintained low profile in the industry

Date:

Renowned actress Jackie Appiah says she does not want to make mistakes in the industry and wants to focus on her career.

That, she said, is the reason she has not engaged herself in any controversies.

Speaking in an interview, Jackie Appiah said her perseverance has come from maintaining a low profile and putting her career before anything else.

“It’s been literally tough; it’s not easy, but I am naturally a cool person; I am always in my corner; I mind my job; I mind my business; and I don’t want to make mistakes; everything must be perfect,” she added.

Jackie Appiah, born December 5, 1983, is a Canadian-born Ghanaian actress who has been in the industry for decades.

She made her first acting appearance in “Things We Do for Love,” and since then she has cemented her presence in the industry, acting in both Gollywood and Nollywood.

For her work as an actress, she has received several awards and nominations, including the awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2007.

She received two nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best Upcoming Actress at the 2008 Africa Movie Academy Awards.
