Mali defeated Guinea-Bissau 6-2 in an international friendly match ahead of the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations, set to kick off on January 13, 2024.

As they prepare for the much-awaited AFCON 2023, Mali’s decisive win is a potent declaration of their readiness and strength.

Mali draws momentum and confidence from this win as they get closer to the AFCON 2023 competition.

In other games, the Black Stars group opponent, Mozambique, secured a 2-0 victory over Lesotho.

Athletico Madrid’s Reinildo Mandava scored Mozambique’s first in the 27th minute before Lau King converted a penalty in the 81st minute to complete a morale-boosting win.
