Accra Hearts of Oak captain and goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has expressed gratitude for the recognition he has received for his hard work this season, following his nomination for a prestigious award.
Speaking on the Max FM’s Sports Pack ahead of the much-anticipated clash with arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, Asare emphasized his readiness to step up to the national level with the Black Stars, should the opportunity arise.
“I believe I deserve this nomination because of the hard work I’ve put in throughout the season,” Asare remarked. “Hearing people call for me to be included in the Black Stars motivates me even more. If I’m called, I am ever ready to give my best for the national team.” He told max.com.gh
Asare also took a moment to acknowledge the support he has received since joining Hearts of Oak, particularly from the club’s management and the Board Chairman. “I want to thank the management of Hearts of Oak for receiving me so well in the club. Their support has been incredible, and it has pushed me to perform at my best.” He added
The goalkeeper is now setting his sights on the upcoming Super Clash against Kotoko, which is just two weeks away. Asare is determined to deliver a top-notch performance and keep a clean sheet against their fiercest rivals.
“As we prepare for the encounter with Kotoko, my aim is to help the team secure a win and keep a clean sheet. It’s a big game, and we are ready to give our all for the fans,” he said.
