Following the debate that secular musicians are not even fit to be featured in gospel music, Kuami Eugene has proven critics wrong when he currently revealed his spiritual life, which resulted in a track dubbed “Victory.”
The Highlife musician who is currently trending for writing the popular song “Victory” for multiple award-winning gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, said he gained the song inspiration after fervent prayers.
In a recent media appearance, Kuami Eugene said he sought guidance from God before writing and subsequently gifting the song to Joyce Blessing.
“I told my mom about it before writing the song, and after writing, I played it to her first, and she liked it and said, ‘This song will travel.’ It was a quick prayer before I put the beat together,” he said.
Kuami Eugene said he told God to use the song to change his personal life and that of the singer, who would use her voice to do the magic.
“I said he should change certain things with this song. He should use the song to change not just Joyce Blessing’s life but mine as well,” he added.
The songwriter was grateful to God that the song was impacting lives and was one of the hit tracks in the industry, stressing that it was traveling just like his mother predicted.
